Ban heelies?

i work in a grocery store and everyday we have kids in there running into people, knocking stuff over and hurting themselves on heelies and spinners. if skateboards and skates are banned for safety reasons in the store, shouldn%26#039;t these shoes be?

Ban heelies?
They should just put up a sign that says....%26quot;No skateboarding, roller skating, bicycalling, or heeling.%26quot; Then they should kick people out for not listening.

Reply:I%26#039;m a classroom teacher at an elementary school and our principal refuses to ban them. I make the students pop the wheels out and give them to me at the start of the school day. They are a nuisance, and kids forget where they are and start skating around otherwise.


Malls would not allow skating in regular skates, so yes, there should be a ban in crowded places.

Reply:Amen. a kid (9 years old) ran into my grandmother in winn dixie, knocked her over, caused a concussion, bruised tailbone and broken arm. And still, there are kids everywhere with those on. they should be for outside only. they are dangerous!
Reply:I see no reason to pass a law banning them...this, like every other fad, will pass. The store CAN ban them if they wish, and probably should. The children%26#039;s parents are already liable for any injury/damage the children cause. Give it time.
Reply:No and yes, heelies were a great invention and still are, but things have gone wrong. The kids who use them are so stupid, thats the problem really. My Shoprite near me has banned them for the same reason you just stated. So here is my answer, if these accidents and whatnot continue to happen I%26#039;d say ban them.

Reply:The heelies should not be worn in the store, unless they are not using the wheel part, and they should post this on the store window and probably you should talk to the manager abou it and he may think if is a good idea, before someone ends up getting hurt. I think you have a very good idea.
